From Ledge Point, you can head inland along KW Road and Orange Springs Road and during the wildflower season in September and October, an array of banksias and kangaroo paws can be seen along the road. The wildlife, including kangaroos and emus are generally not far from the road verge either if you're looking to spot a few.

If you're keen to get out exploring wildflowers in the area, from Orange Springs Road you can head north on the Brand Highway towards Dandaragan and more inland towards Moora during spring where the Canola Fields are on display.

Heading south on the Brand Highway by turning right from Orange Springs Road towards Gingin brings you to the Moore River National Park. In December, this area is well known for the stunning views of Christmas trees and morrison, as well as many other wildflowers the area is well known for. These unique shrubs flower in a brilliant golden bloom and provides visitors with a spectacular show. If you're travelling outside spring or the wildflower season, slender and firewood banksias can be found all year round so this area is well worth a trip at any time.

We've heard a rumour that the elusive black kangaroo paw can be found in the areas surrounding Ledge Point if you're up for the challenge.

If you're keen to do a bit of beach fishing on your next trip to Ledge Point, locals say "the groyne" is the best spot. You'll be able to catch a whiting, taylor or maybe even a snapper if you're lucky. All your bait and tackle can be purchased from the General Store in town.

Ledge Point only has beach launching facilities for your boat. If you're feeling confident, you'll be able to head out and maybe strike it lucky with a dhufish or pink snapper.

Make sure you visit the Department of Fisheries website to attain the right licenses before heading out.

With well maintained grass greens and spectacular views of the ocean, the Ledge Point Golf Club is one of the best. Enjoy a leisurely mid week game or for a bit more competition play with our locals on the sponsored days.

Pop in for a drink or a meal. Meet the locals at Happy Hour. Check out the special events such as St. Patrick's Day Celebrations.

Hire a sand board for hours of fun for the kids.  The big kids can also bring their bikes and buggies and enjoy the off road area and 4WD tracks.
